Our September newsletter, "Field Notes from the Rainy Season," is out and you can read it here. We have also started a new crowfunding campaign via GlobalGiving Foundation to help the Programa de Educación Biológica (PEB), which is ACG's pioneering field-based biological education program for the thousands of children living in rural communities surrounding ACG. Before the pandemic, elementary school classes were brought to the park with their teacher six times per year to learn tropical biology from ACG educators; for most of the children, it is their ONLY source of regular science education. This project will supply PEB teachers with teaching tools and safety equipment needed to bring students back into their outdoor classroom. Beyond supplying students and teachers with protective gear, the project will replace decades-old materials that are broken and worn, including microscopes, binoculars, and other supplies. Please help us help PEB! Any donation helps. You can donate here.
