Rex Hamilton is an entrepreneur with a strong presence in the international markets as founder and owner of a boutique firm that has served ultra-high net worth individuals since 1985 in 10 countries. He is actively involved in philanthropy in the science, sports, and education spaces. His professional experience commenced with marketing the services of Applied Biology, Inc., an environmental services company that served the U.S. electrical utilities in compliance with federal regulations for environmental assessments and permitting. He was then hired by Law Engineering, a multinational testing and design firm, to expand their client list in environmental services during which he focused on multinational petroleum companies’ environmental research and compliance studies. After promotion to corporate responsibilities, his focus shifted within the firm to tap the Japanese inbound market for testing services in the U.S. Japanese clients persuaded him to open his own firm to assist Japanese acquisitions of real estate in the U.S. and France and his firm was launched in 1985. The firm expanded its reach into Singapore in the early 1990s and continues strong personal relationships in Asia and Europe today. Rex was educated at Georgia Institute of Technology (B.S. Applied Biology) and at the University of Georgia (Master of Science in Microbiology). He is married to Béryl with two adult children. Together they maintain homes in the U.S., Costa Rica, and France. He has been actively involved at the board level with environmental non-profits and continues to consult in international real estate.
